Description
Agriculture is facing many difficulties at present and has to be prepared for even greater challenges in future. Important among them are: produce more food with less land, water and other resources; conserve agrobiodiversity and natural habitats that have an influence on farming; adopt production practices that secure food quality and nutritive value while adapting to climate change or contribute to its mitigation; and protect food systems against spillovers of biological origin and contaminations of chemical origin.
